Grounded Canoe

I happened upon this fountain, with its canoe skeleton and bullrushes, last week while wandering along St Clair Ave. This lovely landscaped parkette belongs to a quite nice rental building and I plan on going back to see how the fountain and reflecting pools look when the warm weather comes and the water is flowing.

Hmm, looks like they're trying to bring that great outdoors feeling into the city. I can almost imagine the redwing blackbirds alighting on those cattails now. :-)

I like that a lot! You must show it at work, of course.

If you didn't say it was a fountain, I would have thought it was just a sculpture. I kind of like it already as it is, but would like to see it with water, too.

Hmmm, it doesn't look like much right now. Yes, let's see it when it is full and functioning as a fountain.
