Ravine Path

Toronto is criss-crossed by an extensive network of deep ravines that have been carved out over the centuries by the 3 rivers and the numerous creeks & streams that run through the city. They have almost all been left in a natural state as a protection against flooding and so you are never very far from a path such as this one leading down from a busy downtown street into wilderness. They are well used by walkers, runners, and especially people walking their dogs!

How wonderful Pat. Much more in a modern city like yours.

Nice they have those. I would never have guessed that was taken in a busy downtown area.

The best thing is that people actually clean up after their dogs in Toronto. :)

Now that is exactly what is so lacking in Paris...

You are so fortunate to have such paths/trails as part of the Metro complex! I would spend a lot of time on these paths. And I'd guess there are a lot of great photo ops along the way, too.

Nice, I associate ravine paths with seaside towns like Scarborough where they are equally popular with joggers and dog walkers.

We walked many ravine trails when we lived in TO many years ago. Loved exploring them!

I think it's great that Toronto still has some natural beauty within its borders.
